The Trinity Speech, Language and Learning Center [TSLLC] was established on July 5, 2006 in Gardendale, Alabama. The selection of Gardendale was intentional, and based on the demographics of the North Jefferson county and the Birmingham area. Thousands of family oriented people make their home in North Jefferson. The towns and communities have much to offer growing families, but clinical services have been in short supply until recently.
With the intention of serving children with speech and reading problems, TSLLC was designed to meet the needs of children of all ages who present with speech, language or related literacy deficits, including dyslexia. Family members may contact TSLLC initially for a free consult to discuss their concerns with a certified and licensed professional. Since TSLLC is a clinical provider, a diagnostic procedure is required to determine the presence of a non-developmental condition. In turn, the diagnosis is used as documentation for the condition and insurance purposes.
Several forms of health coverage are accepted at TSLLC. These include: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid, and All Kids. Since individualized plans vary with the type of services covered, TSLLC services are not covered in each instance. Families are encouraged to check with their health insurance providers to determine if “speech therapy services” are included in their plan. Most plans do cover the services at TSLLC.
